What are you consuming in your life?

There are lessons no school will teach us. One of them is what we allow in our lives and what we consume physically, socially, and spiritually, which also have an impact of our pyschological well-being, are key to our overall wellbeing.

What we consume in the first mentioned three dimensions of existence affect our body and mind. Consequently, that leads to pyschological struggle or well-being. Consumption is influenced by boundaries we have for ourselves. Whether those boundaries are affected by other factors or not, they still affect our well-being.

Social

Who is in your circle?

What are you learning from your circles?

It is easy to feel safe where we can talk about our problems and feel validated. However, validation goes beyond just acknowledgement of your suffering. Validation is about supporting you in a life enhancing way. If your circle validates you and do not support you to identify your unhealthy patterns and help you to see things differently, that might be a sign of enabling.

Remember, some people want to be needed. So they allow you to vent and complain daily. When you have no problems, you might not be of use to them.

Words you speak are important for your peace of mind. If you learn to communicate intentionally, or with awareness, you can minimise bringing negativity into your existence. What you call yourself, what you call others and how you relate with yourself others and behave determines your state of peacefulness.

This next statement also applies to spiritual consumption. We have packed ourselves in small social groups. We sometimes have this flawed premise, that there are people who are deserving of suffering, of pain etc, due to their behaviour or any standard society sets. On the other hand, we do not believe we deserve that. The challenge is this, what you wish on others is fitting for you. Additionally, you bring into existence what happens to you through this self contradiction. There is no better, greater, superior and deserving human being than you, or them than you. We all want the same basic things. A state of peacefulness. We are all worthy. Remember that.

Spiritual

Sometimes, in trying to address our Spiritual dimension, we consume Spiritual toxins. We might also apply spirituality to suppress emotions with the excuse of goodness.

Physical

Food and substances, behaviour, sex and alcohol require boundaries. To be able to choose what you put in your body and how much food and sex, and the appropriate behaviour comes from an ability to make decisions in your best interest. This means, you need help if you struggle, support to learn decision making, and discipline to maintain boundaries.

All the above can be affected by and also have a bearing on your pyschological well-being. Your beliefs , accompanied with your dominant thoughts and accompanying emotions impact your social behaviour, your spiritual intake and decisions you make for your physical intake.

As you join this revolution to heal, pay attention to what you are bringing into your existence. You are no longer an " I do what I want person!"

You are now looking into why what is happening is happening to you. This is possible with taking responsibility for your life and acknowledging that if you want a healthy relationship, you benefit from observing your behaviour , not just to be "nice" to specific people, but to live with self-compassion.

Not just to live on the positive words of your inner circle. But to consciously live on a conscience basis, where you reflect on your decisions without waiting for people to call you out, or to validate you when you are self-destructing.

Not just to live in a world of blame, but to constantly reframe; applying higher perspective and understanding that,

1. Yours is not the only perspective.

2. You cannot change anyone but yourself.

3. Your peacefulness is riding on the ability to self-parent and self-soothe and being in the moment.

Heal for the world.
