In 2021 we are not only learning to eat healthy, we are also going to physical as well as psychological gyms.
We are learning that beauty is no longer about the red lipstick and handsome is not about the 6-pack. It is becoming increasingly valuable to learn the beauty of emotional self-control and having a handsome dose of boundaries.
Celebratory occassions include a week of SIFTSEM, a new meditation technique learnt, a trigger evaluated before reaction and going no contact for at least 7 days to help with healing.
We are moving away from comparing ourselves with others, or thinking we are better or less than. We now know our worth. In fact we now understand that we are all worthy.
We are learning that there are no classes of men. None of us has a level of class that does not not feel emotions and make decisions from those emotions.
The powerful and wealthy are no longer defined by their bank accounts, but by their ability to self-manage, leading to general satisfaction and peacefulness.
We are becoming aware of how we might bleed on others due to lack of emotional self-control tools. When we bleed on others we do not take the time to sit with our overwhelming feelings.
Bleeding on others looks like focusing on what others are doing, their mistakes and trying to fix others.
- Being judgemental, blaming, complaining about others, attacking others verbally or physically and venting without solutions.
- Learned helplessness and the inability to apply beneficial solutions in one's social, physical, financial, spiritual and pyschological existence.
- Over-reliance on other people to solve our problems without seeking tools to learn problem-solving.
- Making excuses about our self-sabotage behaviours.
- Enabling the bad behaviour of our close others so that we are the good guy.
- Distracting from emotions then reacting, when they can no longer be suppressed.
-Obsessing about romance at the expense of our well-being.
We are learning that it is our responsibility as individuals to welcome our emotions, sit and parent ourselves and soothe. We are learning to create solutions from these emotions because , it is from evaluating our emotions that we can make decisions.
