Factors that might slow your progress while you heal
There are five factors you might need to address if you are going to improve the quality of your life. Basically, look into your thoughts, emotions, decisions, choices and behaviours. However, it helps to address your responses to rejection, your entitled attitude, black and white, all-or-nothing thinking and to learn to welcome the gestation process.
1. In order to heal, you need to make peace with rejection
When you are still trying to force matters, you might not have learnt yet, how precious your own values and boundaries are.
Ypu might still be struggling to respect your own yes or no. Or you might be entitled and believe your own choices to be the ones that matter more than others.
Because when you recognise the sweetness and sacredness of your own freedom, you do not force anyone to be, do and have what they do not voluntarily seek.
This is because you would not want anyone taking yours away from you either.
2. The need to be right
Due to conditioning you might feel strongly that you are always right. When you think in black and white, you do not believe that there is other perspectives out there. In order to heal it is important to recognise that there are many different people in the world with many different perspectives. Yours is only one perspective.
Accepting other perspective helps you to practice tolerance and to recognise and respect the freedom of others.
It also helps you to improve your relationships as you learn to engage in healthy discussions with open mindedness.
3. Let go of entitlement or believing that you are owed. That things need to go your way. That only your opinion matters.
Trust others around you to do or choose their best.
If their best does not align with you or yours, that is not an invitation to fix others or do their bit. It is information you need to know that you are not on the same page. This is information for you to take action that serves you.
4. All or nothing thinking
When you believe that it will happen because it has happened before you end up stuck in a pattern of victimhood.
You will also struggle to start something new or meet new people because you believe that the same pattern will repeat itself.
Recognise that your thinking is powerful, and situations change in each moment. Equally learn to recognise contributing factors in each situation and that they can be eliminated or avoided or not be present in every situation. Stepping outside your comfort zone comes from honing in different perspective.
Recognise your limiting beliefs that make you believe that you cannot achieve certain desires. So, you keep holding back from trying new things or meeting new people.
5. Trust the process
Trust others to do their best.
Let them choose what their best is.
Allow their best.
Recognise that you cannot plant a seed today and eat the fruit tomorrow. Also recognise that the gestation process is not plain sailing.
You need to nurture the environment in which you plant your desires and stay focused to ensure they come to fruition.
