Self-parenting physical states

If feeling physically unwell, outside your medical treatment, it might be helpful to consider what else you can do for yourself. Energy levels might be low. It might feel challenging to consider anything else outside medical treatment. Consider this; Wdo you want in each moment? You want "mother" : Love, understanding, comfort, encouragement, and support.


Even when you are going to have an operation, a test, it is employing your inner mother to be there for you. While each ailment might bring with it its own challenges, there are ways you could alleviate your bodily manifestations. By exploring self-compassion. Consider what a loving mother would do for you in this situation? Consider a self-care routine, morning, afternoon and night. Morning meditation, affirmations about your health, self-hugs, about 5 minutes of deep breathing, set an intention. Practice mindfulness, mind your circles and environment, your intake, your actions and words. SIFTSEM Journal Bedtime reflection Praise yourself. Touch Try your best to keep your body clean. If you need to, get help. Learn to hug yourself as a loving mother does. Massage can be Soothing whether you have a healthy challenge or not. Touch each part of your body and thank it for what it does. When in pain, hug and speak to yourself like mother would do. Feeling Name your feelings and sensations. Even when unwell, you need parenting. Be gentle and kind and reframe your thoughts with affirmations. Release any overwhelming emotions with carthartic breathing and shake. Research is linking suppressed emotions to many illnesses Words of affirmations Your body listens. Speak to it kindly. Practice gratitude for it. Use words of affirmations to improve your health. Taste Invest in the power of nature There is an abundance of natural stuff out there that can help your body. Google has a lot of information. Aloe Vera sap, turmeric, ginger, garlic, Moringa, castor oil, etc. Seek proven recommendations. Mind what you put in your body. There is only so much the body can process. Just like any machine, it has its limits.

Drink a lot of water. Acts of service Do acts that minimise stressors. Your body's immunity is affected by stress too. In fact, some illnesses might lie dormant until you get stressed. Rest. Exercise as well as you can. There are many approaches to explore. Walks in nature. Mindful baths. Creativity. Gifts Give yourself gifts from your walks as well done. Occasionally buy a significant self-care gift. Quality time. Spend time in thought free meditation. In self-care and reflecting. Journal your emotions and your gratitude and affirmations. Reflect on your days, and learn reframes.

Find something to laugh about and release endorphins. Sound While meditating, listen to meditation music. Or listen to soft and feel good music. Dance if you can and change your focus sometimes.

Sing or practice repetitive sounds


Rest.

Your body needs relaxation, as well as movement.

Ensure you get adequate rest.
