Mindfulness is pivotal in changing your life. When you are walking, you try to have an awareness of where you are going. Especially, where you are putting your foot to ensure you are on safe ground.
When you notice an uneven terrain, you change route or move carefully.
Mindfulness or living in the moment is essential for quality of life.
Mindfulness is more about being aware of your every move. This applies to your pyschological, social , spiritual and physical existence. Your life is only now, and to be mindful can help you to enjoy your days in peacefulness.
Mindfulness equally invites you to parent yourself first and recognise what is and is not in your control. Because then, you can create solutions for challenges and get back to the present.
Bear this in mind!
"The whole future lies in uncertainty. Live immediately!" Seneca
Life is short, be mindful of what you do in this short space you have. Utilise it well. Employ tools to buy tranquility.
A reminder from the Stoic Emperor
"You can discard most of the junk that clutters your mind…and clear out space for yourself… by comprehending the scale of the world… by contemplating infinite time… by thinking of the speed with which things change — each part of every thing; the narrow space between our birth and death; the infinite time before; the equally unbounded time that follows." Marcus Aurelius
In order to have a quality life with mindfulness, this means,
Mind your physical environment.
Mind what you get into your body
Mind who you allow to interact with it.
Mind who you allow next to your stuff.
Your surroundings and your influences.
Mind where your body leads you.
Mind what you are feeding your body.
Mind who you call your partner and your friends.
Move your body so that it keeps working for you!
Mind what you say to your body, it is listening.
Mind who you trust and keep close to you!
Mind the time you have.
Mind that you have little time.
Be mindful of how you invest this short time.
Mind who has access to your time.
Mind what you allow in the time you have.
Mind who does or does not respect your time.
Mind , do not miss each moment!
Mind the space between thought and action.
Mind your thoughts
Where they take you
What you allow yourself to do because of them.
Where you might end up because of them.
Mind your tasks
Mind what you might do in each segment.
Mind whether what you do is in your best interest.
Mind how you feel when you do it.
Mind what you get out of it.
Mind your thoughts influencing it!
Mind the respect! Honour yourself.
Mind when you start to feel dispensable, know that you are to others, but not to you!
Mind, when doors are closing,
There is one equally opening elsewhere.
Take your eyes off the closing door.
Mind the end by dates of situations.
Mind that you might miss new beginnings too.
Mind the space between one relationship and the other.
Mind when people leave your life.
Mind the moments you feel abandoned.
Mind the message in that space.
Mind what you do with that space.
Pause and listen in that space.
Mind what you put in that space.
There is a space for a reason.
Mind your bias
Mind how your cognitive distortions.
Mind the conversation you have with yourself throughout the day.
About you, about others, about the world.
Mind the impact of those conversation.
What you focus on grows.
As much as you might have so many excuses to defend your focus, it helps to recognise that your focus affects you, your health and well-being. If you die tomorrow, will you have lived today?
