Making desired changes in your life



Finding beneficial stuff outside the comfort zone


Whether it is starting your psychological healing, exercise and weight loss or building a business, you will need to explore beneficial steps outside your comfort zone. You will need to give up many things and people to achieve your goals. Your mindset needs to change.


Steps


1. Through the life you are living, recognise that something needs to change.


2. SIFTSEM.

Recognise why it is important that something needs to change. If you are changing for someone else, that might not not be enough to push you. If the change is for you foremost, and then, where possible, you include others who might be affected by the present situation, then it might be a big yes.


3 Look into what it means to make this change and what it entails.

What is the desired outcome?


4. Wanting to change and commiting to chanfe are 2 different things . Are you ready or just tempted by the idea of the change?

Will you make the time?


5. If you are ready, make a plan and include,

How you are going to make the changes?

What you will do and what it will cost including time and cents?

Where you will do what needs to be done?

When you will do it and how often?

Who you will do it with, or who will support you?


6. Tactics

Start small and build up

Who will hold you accountable?

How will you maintain discipline?

How will you address any weaknesses or wanting to give up?


7. Quality assurance

How will you measure progress

What will progress look like?

How will you evaluate yourself?


8. Sustainability

How will you embed this new practice in your daily life, so that it is not just a quick fix, but a way of life?


Perhaps you start with intensity and high frequency, and then gradually reduce to a level where you do not feel too tired or burn out.


Everything that is worth it requires that you give up something to achieve it.

Requires that you do not attach your goals to anyone.

Requires that you keep reminding yourself why you started.

Requires that you welcome discomfort in every session.

Requires that you make time out of your busy schedule.

Requires that you recognise gestation periods.

Trust the process and live by the dichotomy of control.
