Journal tip today! The work you need to do has nothing to do with whoever heals you or what people around you are doing. Your work is to recognise your own shadow and start to evaluate yourself with compassion. Explore the kinds of interactions with others which trigger you. Find out if these are similar or different from your triggers within your family or yourself. Consider whether you have similar traits to the person who is triggering you which you might not notice or that is suppressed in yourself. However, it might be more obvious in this other person? Having identified situations that trigger you, explore how you respond and take care of myself when triggered by any of them? In order to help yourself to address your shadow, sit down with your SIFTSEM Journal and explore the pre-triggers, the bodily manifestation of your trigger and the cognitive distortions associated with the trigger, as well as identifying root cause. Start self-care Learn to reframe. Accept different perspective. Learn to notice the positives too. Recognise that we attract what we are. Everyone is a mirror.
