Tip for the day
One exercise in virtue and an essential ingredient of healing is accepting what happens. Life will happen.
In order to learn from what happens, learn to let go of externals and focus on what is within your control.
Many times, we get stuck focusing on the changes others need to make, when our work lies in the changes we need to make in our own lives.
Perhaps a partner, a boss, a child or friend is doing something that does not feel good to you. Yet, it is not their resolution to do what feels good to you. It is your perception that might need to change. Other people have the right to choose what feels good to them.
You might have to consider other perspective, their perspective and that you are not necessarily right.
You might also have to look into the possibility that you just do not understanding where they are coming from.
You also benefit from recognising that you are not the best person to decode what is best in someone else's life. Even a partner or child owes us nothing.
Let other people decide what is best for them. You can suggest sometimes, recommend or guide, and teach by example mostly. Just do not force outcomes. You will make yourself and others unhappy. Meanwhile, the best thing you can do for anyone or everyone you love is to follow your bliss.
