How often do I heal? You ask! How often do you eat? I ask You eat daily. You eat when you are hungry. You might eat sometimes because you like the food! Controversial, but true! So it is that you feel everyday. You get triggered and taken back to childhood. You have anxieties and fears and they come up at different stages throughout the day. So, just as you eat when hungry, you attend to these psychological signals when they come up. You slow down and look within. You breathe . You attend to those emotions. You parent your triggers. You address and soothe your anxieties. You reframe. You create solutions. You release the emotions in Cartharsis. Then with a satisfied stomach or body you get on with other business, knowing you will feel hungry and will therefore need to eat and parent again. But that is OK. Because you attend to your hunger on scheduled meal times and when you are hungry. You can also schedule your trigger management sessions at the end of each day, snacking on quick tools such as reframes, cartharsis, gratitude, affirmations, self-hugs and deep breathing in between. As long as you eat, live and breathe, you will need food and psychological nurturing.
